Taylor J. Smith

Legal Intern

Taylor J. Smith is a Legal Intern at Perseus Strategies, based in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in international and domestic human rights, and criminal justice. Her experience includes working with the American Bar Association’s Death Penalty Representation Project, where she supported post-conviction litigation and advocacy on behalf of individuals facing capital punishment, as well as with the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office on homicide cases. She has also contributed to international policy and advocacy efforts with Ipas, supporting work to advance global access to reproductive healthcare and human rights.

She is currently a second year J.D. candidate at the University of Baltimore School of Law. She holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in International Law, Terrorism, and Security from the University of Nottingham. An avid athlete, Taylor spends her limited free time cycling, playing rugby and watching the WNBA.
